The strategic technology model of ZRW is not to re-invent the wheel but build strong, interconnected technology partnership with leading institutions that own core competencies that are necessary to deliver on the aims of ZRW. ZRW focuses as a South African company, seeks to increase local content, increasing local intellectual capital and create more jobs. Hence, ZRW maintains a system integration position with the design authority, development and intellectual property of its concepts. It has project managed the testing and validation in Germany, the development of new light emitting Diodes in Korea and manufacturing and sub-assembly in China.

Our partners are major producers of solar components including solar cells (amorphous and crystalline), LEDs and associated electronics. The products have been sold in European and US markets over the years, based on which the company has accumulated rich experience in development and design. The companies have passed ISO 9001-2000, with products compliant with “UL”, “CE” and “EMC” certification. The combined sales of our partners are in excess of $150,000,000 per annum. The combined R&D budget dedicated to the area of solar systems is in excess of $3 000 000 per annum. Our testing regimes conform to quality assurance and compliance with various standards including IEC 6146 and IEC 61730.
Consequently, this is a strong partnership that seeks to have the knowledge, competency and capability to deliver on small and large scale projects.
ZRW introduces the SOLSTAR range of products. Each ZRW solar solution has the following features:
· Solar solution is stand-alone, off-grid, i.e.. does not require infrastructure support or AC power from a energy generator, e.g.. ESKOM. · We offer a turnkey solution (i.e., design, development, implementation, erection and installation and commissioning). We work together with your contractors.
ZRW Energy offers four products:
· Solar Panels · A Low Cost Solar Lighting and Cooking Solution, · A Solar Street and Garden Lighting Solution · Wind Turbines · Mobile Solar Chargers (for cellphones, 12V batteries, laptops, etc) · Solar lanterns (as alternative to paraffin lanterns or torches)
