COMPANY HISTORY

ZRW was first established in 2007 by four partners with technical, economics, strategy and human resources backgrounds. The leadership has subsequently grown to include other partners, in line with the South African Black Economic Empowerment requirements and aims. The executive team have other interests across the global arena and specialising in project management and consulting services in mining, technology and property development. The strength and nature of the partnership has allowed ZRW to support enterprise at all aspects of its business value chain.

The company has 3 different components that often interact together to offer our clients a complete turnkey value proposition. As a relatively new entity in its consolidated form - ZRW Mechanika is built on the back of the competencies and expertise of its shareholders and networks in the engineering sector in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and aerospace engineering. The executive and members are registered professional engineers (PrEng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). The Asset company, ZRW Asset Co. and Human resources company, ZRW Abantu, operate in the asset management and development, and human resources domains respectively.

As a business position, the organization is highly entrepreneurial. While ZRW has well defined competence areas, in the business units, it has taken a decision to engage in business opportunities in other sectors also including retail, FMCG and exporting through its cross-cutting activities.

With this significant technical competence base and coupled with a modest capital based ZRW has is currently applying for CIDB rating of 5EP with the construction industries development board.

Recently, ZRW has launched its alternate energy solutions portfolio with a host of new products that offer well designed and manufactured solar energy products for numerous applications including low cost housing and street lighting. In order to focus on service delivery and customer orientation, ZRW Energy was formed to cater to the solar energy and wind turbine services of the business.

Although new, the main executive partners driving ZRW have quality experience in their respective engineering domains – each in excess of 15 years at local and international levels. ZRW is its team!
